Crankcase Audio has partnered with Audiokinetic to bring REV to Wwise and change the way gamers experience the sounds of vehicle engines in video games.
For game developers, REV for Wwise solves the difficult problem of creating believable sounds for vehicle engines. It enables audio creators to produce the highest quality engine sounds possible while substantially decreasing the time required to do so.
For gamers, REV enhances the driving experience by providing an incredible sense of immersion and excitement, highlighting the intensity and performance characteristics of vehicles and bringing an authenticity to the sound not possible before.

REV is currently available with Wwise version 2013.2 and features a selection of 15 car engine models. The catalog of available engine models will expand to include a variety of trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles, with plans to augment the library with over 100 new models over the coming months. Additionally, the REV Authoring Tool is available for developers to build engine models based on their own original recordings.
